Melissa Brown has over 20 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist and consultant across skilled nursing, hospital, and home care settings. She has served as both a compliance officer and clinical liaison for contract rehabilitation companies, cultivating a hands-on understanding of the regulatory landscape.
Melissa proudly calls herself a “PDPM Nerd,” having read and analyzed more than 4,500 pages of regulations and Technical Expert Panel reports to master the payment model. Known for her focus on pragmatic and practical solutions, Melissa ensures her recommendations are both cost-effective and realistic for the organizations she serves.
In addition to her deep dive into PDPM, Melissa specializes in fall prevention, interdisciplinary pain management, wound care, wheelchair positioning, and the oversight of all aspects of rehabilitation. She is also an expert in improving team dynamics and assisting with efficiency and task delineation within an organization.
When she’s not at work, you’ll find Melissa walking her Yorkie, Professor Rolo, or volunteering at her church and in her community.
